Clinical Background

My career path began with work in a domestic violence center in Northern Arizona, and has since taken me to inpatient and residential psychiatric work, a local independent school and finally to private practice in the DTC area south of Denver. In each of these settings, I have been honored to guide individuals and families as they make lasting, positive life changes.

I finished my post doctoral training at the Colorado Institute for Mental Health at Fort Logan, where I provided assessment and treatment services for seriously mentally ill children and adolescents. I also trained at Fort Logan in the hospital wide neuropsychological assessment service, and a specialized behavioral treatment unit for behaviorally disturbed adults.

I completed my Doctorate of Psychology at the University of Denver, where I specialized in Child Assessment and Treatment. My doctoral thesis centered on social and cultural perspectives on youth violence. My undergraduate degree is from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I completed an honors thesis related to aggression among young adults/adolescents.
